Generations Final Cut and Evaluation

Image
After screening the first cut of my documentary to a small focus group and receiving feedback about what I could change, I began changing those parts of the documentary in editing to finalize the documentary. I shortened the intro of the documentary and changed the fonts of the title screen and credits. I also lowered the volume of the music that was underneath a few of the clips so that it was not too loud. Once I had done this I exported the final cut and uploaded it to YouTube.  I then wrote an evaluation, explaining what I did throughout the project and why. This was so that I could explain my ideas and thoughts throughout the production of this project.

Generations First Cuts and Feedback

Once I had finished editing my first cut of my documentary, I exported it from premier pro as a h.264 video and then uploaded it to YouTube. I then created a google form that I would send out to a focus group who I would screen my documentary to. This is so that I can receive feedback about the editing of the footage. Here, the majority of the focus group mentioned that the sequencing of the shots were quite good, with only one person sa...

Post-Production Diary

I used Bensound to download royalty free music- so that when I uploaded the finished product to YouTube I would not get a copyright strike.   I also uploaded the first scene of the documentary as a place holder- just so that I could move the footage along to where I wanted it to be. This would allow me to estimate how long the introduction of the documentary would be. I cut the sound from Bensound so that the music would not be playing throughout the documentary- but I have yet to delete it as I ran out of time in lesson. Day Two: 06/04/2022 Today I continued to edit the footage I have captured so far. I ensured that the introduction music cut off at the right place, and deleted the rest of the sound after the first shot began. I added some images of technology that I took over the process of filming into the beginning of the documentary- so that the beginning was not just a black screen with text. I also...
